Here at Brooklyn Iron Works we have one of the largest and most sophisticated coatings facilities in the Inland Northwest. Our coatings facility is an impressive 50,000 SF. We have 3-paint rooms (2-at 6,300 SF each & 1-at 4,700 SF), and each room is heated, humidified and has an overhead crane for efficient staging of material.
Our main blast room is strategically placed to facilitate a smooth production flow into our paint rooms. It encompasses 18,000 SF of wide open interior area to store freshly blasted material. Our automatic blast machine is a BCP-8 wheel shot blaster with a 4’x7’ opening. We are able to handle material as long as 100’ through this machine.
We also offer conventional hand blasting in a 4,700 SF blast booth. We use this for large, awkward pieces that will not go through our automatic blast machine. This room is environmentally controlled and has an overhead crane for easy material handling.
Our coatings facility is compliant with all Federal, State & County air pollution requirements. We also have a certified truck scale so that every load that leaves our facility is DOT compliant.
Brooklyn Iron Works can handle any coating project you have. With the size of our facility we can meet most demanding delivery schedules. We paint everything from standard red oxide primer on structural steel to the most sophisticated muliti coat paint systems. To ensure that you get the highest quality product we employ a QC/QA inspection system that will meet the most stringent specified requirements. We also have a NACE inspector on staff.
Brooklyn Iron Works looks forward to taking care of all your sand blasting and painting needs.
